Setting Up Your Life is a Doodle Journal Password
The Default Password
Begin by removing the red tag. Your default password is set to "000". Slide the button to the left and it will open.
* If your journal lock is not opening in the default setting or if your journal is missing a red tag, then something is wrong and we encourage you to reach out to us.
Slide the Button All the Way to the Right
Be sure the lock is still set to "000" when you start this process. Then begin setting your new password by sliding and holding the button all the way to the right. Do not let go of the button.
Carefully Align Your Numbers
While holding the button to the right, begin carefully aligning the number wheels to reflect your desired password. Be sure you feel each number click precisely into the groove on the wheel and that each number is exactly even with the other.
Release the Button Back to Center Position
After your new password is set and your numbers are precisely in place,release the button back to the center. Mix up the number wheels and then test your password by aliging the numbers accordingly. Slide the button to the left and your journal lock should pop open.
Write Down Your Password
Write down your password! This is CRUCIAL. If you forget your password there is no way to re-set it and unlock your journal.

"Dad Hack" for those who forgot their password!
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to re-set a forgotten password. This awesome dad figured out a solution for those of you determined enough to try! Another dad said, "This trick worked for me with two differences. I had to slide the aluminum on the right side of the tumbler to find the notch. I did not have to spin the numbers around - leaving the notch forward worked." If neither of these tricks work for you please reach out!
